At Trinity Church school we have an EYFS Unit which comprises of a reception class and a Nursery, catering for children ages 3-5.
In the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) we believe that children learn best through high quality experiences and interactions with adults and other children. Our curriculum is based on the interests of children and relevant events and occasions. Whilst learning, children are encouraged to access all areas available to them throughout the day – the classrooms, the shared outdoor space, the Early Years library and the 'Art Attack' area.
All of the children are taught Phonics and Maths skills on a daily basis, as well as further group sessions which are tailored to further develop their skills. Each week we timetable in sessions where the Reception and Nursery children are given the opportunity to mix.
We like to develop strong links with home and invite parents in throughout the year to celebrate their child’s learning and achievements.
