French is taught as a discrete subject in KS2 following the iLanguages scheme, although children in KS1 learn to say some greetings in foreign languages throughout the year.
We also encourage the celebration of all languages by acknowledging European Languages Day and highlighting other languages regularly.
Our Year 6 children are taught by a French languages specialist from Norton Hill School.
